Should I Add a Sidebar?
I have always liked the single-column look that my blog has right now, but is seems I might be missing some functionality and cool features by not having a sidebar in a second column. One of the features found on pretty much every blog today is a sidebar, or two, or three. Therefore, almost all widgets, buttons, banners, etc. are designed to go in a sidebar, and there have been a few instances where I really wish I had one. I also like the idea of eventually adding a few sidebar items like a top commenter list, a category listing, a search box, and maybe moving or copying my "links" section into a type of blogroll. Of course, I want to retain a unique style, and I am not trying to imitate all of the other blogs out there, but this seems like it is just plain functional. So, since I can't decide, I hope that someone out there reading this will help me - should I add a sidebar? Do you like my design now, and do you think it would change too drastically with a sidebar addition? I might play around with this idea over the next few weeks, and maybe try out a few things - if you see anything you like, please tell me!

Hi, I'm no master of blogs, but I find that the sidebar is the perfect places for all the tools we need; links, profile, archives, blogrolls, your feed info as well as google ads, etc. I still have many changes to make to mine, but in my opinion, a blog without a sidebar is just a webpage. I see a sidebar now so I figure you added it. I think one sidebar is good, two is probably too much. Where is the favicon you mention? Am I blind?

It's possible that I've implemented it wrong, but I see a favicon in both firefox and IE, anyone else not able to see it?

What is a favicon? :) I think a blog without a sidebar looks kinda "dead" to me!
