Homeless Man Update

It seems we have settled on using Game Maker as our gaming engine for 'Homeless Man,' - we've been playing around with it and it seems robust and easy to work with. Andy (my partner on the project) has started doing concept art and some basic sprites for the game. His passion is art, he is well versed in painting, and has been dabbling in digital drawing and painting for a while now - things are already looking good. As "the programmer" I am going to handle most of the game configuration and coding - but I haven't jumped very far into it yet. Hopefully Game Maker works out for the best - it sure seems promising at this point. We have a good friend from high school who is excited to do voice-over work for characters, and we have a possible musician who wants to work on the project. If all things fall into place we are already well on our way to a great game with awesome original art, music, and voice work. I am sure there are lots of road blocks and hurdles to overcome in the future of this project, but we can deal with them as they come. We're both in the process of brainstorming all the details for the game including plot points and game design - one of our biggest goals is to make something unique, which might take a lot of creativity, but it's definitely important to the project; there's no reason to make a game that plays like all the others.
