Guest Post: iPhone Application Demos

Jorge Goyco is a blogger who runs two interesting and well written blogs, Ideas from Jorge and Stories From Papi. Not everyone is going to be able to afford an iPhone, although I'm sure most of us want one. I sure do.

We've all seen the commercials with all the cool applications that come with the iPhone, and some of us may have been to the apple site and drooled all over the computer screen, but did you know that there are programmers building applications for the iPhone? Not just the official applications that come with the iPhone. iPhone users will be able to download apps and upload them to their phone.

I found a couple of sites that are featuring some of those applications. You can even demo the applications in your browser, so it's almost like having your very own iPhone. The application demos work just like they would work on the iPhone.

Games:
Bejeweled

Gas:
Check gas prices using zip codes (apparently it uses google maps as well)

Movies:
Check Movie Listings

This will be an interesting thing to watch, and maybe, when the iPhone becomes affordable, just maybe by that time there will be every application imaginable.

Personally, I'd like to see Propellerheads - Reason made for the iphone.

It will be interesting to see the motion sensor technology developed more as well. I can see the same capabilities as in the Nintendo Wii controller used in the phone. Can you imagine flicking the phone to send a text message or a GPS system that knows which way you are pointing you phone?
