A New Career in Web Development?

It may seem that I've been neglecting my blog posting lately, and I have - I apologize to anyone out there that might have been looking forward to more posts from me recently, but I have been very busy. A few weeks ago I was well into the process of writing cover letters and sending out my resume when I landed an interview with a small local company for a web programmer position. The interview went well, and I have been on a web-design/programming kick ever since. Something about the interview inspired me to hone my skills and dive further into the world of web programming. I got a call back yesterday offering me the position, and I accepted it. I am now a web programmer part-time, and I am really looking forward to getting to work. I think I found the perfect job for me at this time, and I hope I end up enjoying the work as much as I think I will. I also have an opportunity to prove myself as a great asset to a growing company, and I am looking forward to the opportunity of possibly starting a career. I start on Monday morning, and my new job might take priority over a lot of things in my life at first, but I hope to still keep a semi-regular posting schedule here, we'll see how it plays out. For now, wish me luck!

Congrats! I know you will do well. Just be ready for people to have trouble communicating. It's a problem everywhere. It's part of the human condition. It can be demoralizing, but if you accept a certain level as inevitable, like rainy days, it is easier to live with.

But watching your blog tells me that you'll do great. And all my info popped up in the post a comment boxes.

Steve, I am prepared for a world of the human condition - but I pride myself on my ability to communicate well, so hopefully I can make up for some of people's lack of communication skill. Thank you both for the encouragement and I will make sure to tell you how it goes.
